ADMILSH ZABARI's AWARDS PAGE
GCCF: - Imperial Grand Premier
FIFE: - International Premier
TICA: - Champion Alter
Although Ziggi is no longer with us, he
deserves to be remembered for all his wonderful achievements during his nine
years on the show bench, and his contribution to the Bengal breed.
He was one of the first Bengals to be monitored
with the GCCF to enable them to be recognised with the GCCF, and so enabling
them to be accepted from Preliminary, then Provisional and then all the way up to Championship status.
His legacy will live on through my prefix, Ziggian, which I bought in tribute to him.

TO BE TITLED BY ALL THREE UK SHOWING ORGANISATIONS!!!
KERNOW CAT CLUB SHOW
HELD IN PAIGNTON ON 3rd APRIL 2010
**GRAND PREMIER CERTIFICATE**
&
*BEST OF BREED*
Ziggi said goodbye to the show bench today with an almost Red Card day. He won the Grand Premier Certificate, Best of Breed, first in two of his side classes and second in a large class of nine in his third side class. What a great end to a fabulous show career! He accompanied 17 week old Zsami to his first show and the two of them in Ziggi's double pen at the end of the day brought smiles to both visitors and exhibitors as it really was acase of Little and Large...Ziggi being the biggest Bengal at the show and Zsami being the smallest!
Ziggi and I would like to thank all of the judges who awarded Ziggi his
80 Show Certificates over the past years and for thinking so highly of him.
The Awards are much appreciated and will always be cherished.
Thank you from Ziggi and Annie!

and
*Best of Breed*
WOW ….. What a fantastic day Ziggi had at the prestigious National Cat Club show!! Never in my wildest dreams after winning Best of Breed for the second year running did I ever think he would win BEST IN SHOW FOREIGN EXHIBIT at this major show. A new pinnacle of his wonderful show career, this lovely cat never ceases to amaze me at his continued achievements and at the grand age of nine he really deserves every bit of it!!
BENGAL CAT CLUB SHOW
HELD IN NEWBURY ON 25th JULY 09
Ziggi and I attended the annual Bengal Cat Club show in Newbury. Ziggi was on Exhibition in celebration of his new Imperial Grand Premier status, and I was on Team Robinson’s show team helping out with the shows paper work for the day.
It was a fabulous show and a true testimony to the way the Bengal breed has developed in the UK - the cats were truly stunning.
Ziggi was delighted to be awarded Mrs. Pam Wildings ‘Special Rosette’ as her Judges favourite choice for the day. At his last show, the Wiltshire & District, Mrs. Wilding placed him first in two classes and this is the lovely show report she wrote about him:
AV FOREIGN SENIOR NEUTER 1st COAK'S GR PR ADMILSH ZABARI (76 30)
"Handsome chap, strutted onto the table, clearly believing ‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it’ and he
has ‘it’ in abundance. Super type, wonderful coat, and always the perfect gentleman.
Perfect Ambassador for the breed. I gave him his first Imperial and now I find he won his fifth today.
So many congratulations Zabari, you deserve it.”

This Imperial Grand Premier plaque, awarded by the club to Titles cats, is really magnificent and I was thrilled to collect it on Saturday to display above his pen with all his other special awards and rosettes. Ziggi was, as usual, given loads of attention by both exhibitors and visitors alike and although I was kept busy all day it was lovely to see old friends and also some of the newer cats and kittens coming up.
Thank you to Elaine and John Robinson and the rest of the show team for putting on such a great show, which I know was enjoyed by all!

WILTSHIRE & DISTRICT CAT CLUB SHOW
HELD IN SWINDON ON 4th JULY 09
HE'S DONE IT!!! ...... Ziggi was awarded his fifth and final Imperial Grand Premier certificate to enable him to attain the above title.
In doing so he thereby became the fourth male Bengal ever to be awarded this title in the history of cat showing!
I can't tell you how proud I am of this wonderful big boy as, after 8 years on the show bench representing this fabulous breed, he has gained the highest title on the GCCF show circuit. He has followed the Bengal breed through each stage of their acceptance into the world of GCCF Championship showing and I believe he is the only Brown Spotted Bengal in the UK to have done this.

CATTICA ALL BREEDS CAT CLUB
A TWO-DAY TICA SHOW HELD IN MILTON KEYNES ON THE 16th & 17th MAY 2009
Ziggi relaxes in the arms of Joanna while keeping a lookout for the paparazzi!!
Ziggi being judged by Irene Van Belezen from Belgium and centre, by Vlada Benina from Russia
Not quite a show brag as Ziggi didn’t manage to get any finals this time out but his cuddles from the
actress Joanna Lumley most definitely deserves a mention on this page!!
Miss Lumley was at the show on Saturday filming for a TV programme that was shown on ITV on two consecutive Sundays, September 6th and September 13th, called 'Joanna Lumley Catwoman'. This is a documentary in two parts and will incorporate cats from all over the world of all shapes, sizes, colours and histories. She spent most of Saturday with her crew filming and interviewing people and Ziggi and I were lucky enough to be amongst those interviewed. She also held Ziggi in her arms so that I could take some photos and she kept saying how adorable he was as he lapped up her kisses.
It was a really lovely programme and the show was featured in the first half of the first episode. The Bengals were in abundance and I recognised many of the cats and owners. It was really lovely to see a few seconds of Ziggi on the programme and of course, I have bought the DVD !
On a personal note I have to mention that my very first school was Whitfield Infants School in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The school was separated from the adjoining Ghurkha Army camp by a wire fence and one of my overriding fond memories of this school were the Ghurkha wives and their children on the other side of the fence watching us children playing in the playground. My late father, a Captain in the British Army, always told me of the courage of the Ghurkhas and their role in the defense of Britain, and for this reason I have to say how much I admire Miss Lumley for taking up the cause of the Ghurkhas recently. (Wish I had said that to her at the weekend, but unfortunately it never entered my head!)
Ziggi had a lovely relaxing day and was his usual soppy self for the judges and as usual wowed everyone by his size and super laid back character.

SOUTHERN COUNTIES CAT CLUB
HELD IN READING ON 31st JANUARY 2009
Ziggi had a lovely day at the show, purring and enjoying all the attention he was getting. Considering he spent most of the night chirping and purring around our Travelodge room, knocking bits and pieces off the dressing table to get my attention and generally being a little menace, I was surprised at how alert he was during the show. Needless to say Sunday was a whole day in bed for him!
Out of a large class, Ziggi was awarded the:

Well.....!! A very surprising day for Ziggi when he was awarded the Grand Certificate AND Best of Breed despite the
strongest of competition. He had a lovely day and as usual enjoyed all the attention he was getting.
I must mention here the venue. The show was held at the Woodgreen Animal Shelter near Godmanchester, and during our
enforced expulsion from the show hall while the judging was going on I took the opportunity to have a wander around this excellent sanctuary.
It really was the most amazing place. The dogs, cats, horses and goats that I saw were all so relaxed and contented in their temporary home.
There are paddocks for the larger animals and exercise areas in which the dogs can stretch their legs and have a good run around.
The shelter certainly brushed away the stress from my six hour journey to get to the hotel the day before! I would highly recommend anyone
visiting the area to go to visit this animal shelter as they do such a wonderful job and are well worth supporting.
An excellent restaurant and shop are also on site with grassy areas and duck ponds around which you can enjoy a picnic. A great venue for a cat show!

THE SUPREME CAT SHOW
HELD AT THE NEC, BIRMINGHAM 17th NOVEMBER 2007
Ziggi went to the Supreme Cat Show at the NEC in Birmingham last weekend and came home with a very respectable third place. He had a lovely day and showed himself beautifully, at one point even trying to get onto the judges lap! I won the Bengal Cat Clubs first prize for the Best Decorated Pen, which was judged by Gene Ducote who was on the clubs Club Row stall doing a book signing for her new book
“Getting to know the Bengal cat”. Thank you very much … the Cava went down very well!
Whilst there I collected my commemorative plaques from the Bengal Cat Club's table which are awarded to the Bengal Cats who had gained their titles. These look absolutely fantastic and are a wonderful gesture from the Club to the Bengal Cats who are representing the breed on the UK show scene.
Thank you very much from both Ziggi and myself. The two plaques will be taking pride of place in Ziggi's awards room.
